One Way Link Building is Your Ticket to Top Google Rank

The best online business is the one that will demand little of your time and leave you with high profits. Affiliate marketing definitely remains one of the best options, and article marketing -along with an automatic article submitter- the weapon of choice when it comes to one way link building.

If you are familiar with article marketing, you are well aware of its importance within today's online marketing strategies. A great number of article directories are highly regarded by Google, so they can provide you with a huge Google boost through one way link building, ultimately creating the best online business (one that ranks first in Google and goes on autopilot).

In order to get actual results from article marketing as part your online marketing strategies and achieve significant one way link building, you need to submit your articles to at least 400 article directories. Indeed, this strategy will help you develop the best online business you can imagine, but you have to go for the big numbers, and an automatic article submitter is definitely the answer to achieve massive one way link building and high Google rank.

Doing this by hand is possible, but it will take about 8-10 minutes per article-per directory, so without an automatic article submitter article marketing can turn into a real pain that will do little for your online marketing strategies and will not render any significant one way link building.

Do the math: one article marketing campaign comprised of 6 articles means 10 minutes x 6 articles x 400 directories = 2400 minutes (40 hours) of your time, whereas an automatic article submitter will do it in just 1-2 hours; that means more one way link building per minute and time to develop more important areas of your online marketing strategies. Time efficiency is the best online business.

Therefore, an automatic article submitter is a must in order to achieve significant one way link building, which is what will ultimately deliver a high Google rank and a big kick in your quest to create the best online business. Indeed, considering that the best online business is the one that will claim less time and render more profits, and that article marketing is an essential part of any successful set of online marketing strategies, you simply can't go on with any online marketing effort without and automatic article submitter that ensures massive one way link building.

In fact, I'd dare to say any set of online marketing strategies involving article marketing should not even be considered if you don't have the help on an automatic article submitter. Creating the best online business is simply a matter of smart and time efficient choices, so whatever you do make sure you achieve massive one way link building by including an automatic article submitter within your online marketing strategies portfolio.

Is It Worth The Cost To Get Into A Link Bidding Directory?

Link bidding directories are becoming the new fad on the internet for building your text links. While there are the pros and cons to this link building method, it should definitely be included into your planning. It can be risky because of the fact that you are buying your way to the top, but in order to be successful on the internet you have to be willing to take risks.

The traditional web directories list links in a predetermined manner that is still a bit unknown to many. Whether it is by alphabetical order, page rank, or superiority on the internet, there was no true criteria as to how people were getting to the top. Link bidding solves that by allowing internet marketers to fight for the top positions.

Once you have made a top bid, anyone has the right to outbid you and regain the top position. What this means for you is that you can own the rights to the top spot by continuously bidding higher than everyone else, but it all depends on how bad you want the text link. Is it worth spending a large amount of money? If it is going to bring you a drastic amount of traffic, then you had better fight for it as hard as you can.

If you are in an industry on the internet that has a large amount of competition, it is almost essential that you bid on links. There are so many websites on the internet with similar products and marketing techniques that relying on natural listings does not always cut it. Your site has to be truly unique and stand out from the rest of the crowd; otherwise you are just another website that can easily get passed over. When you bid on links, you know where you stand and what needs to be done to generate more traffic.

When you place your sit in a bid directory, you are putting it into competition with some of the top businesses in your industry. This allows you to see where you stand and what needs to be done to improve your website and offer more. Generally, bid directories have sites separated by categories. In such a case, you are bidding for the top spot among the many businesses within your category.

While there are many benefits to link bidding directories, there are a couple of downfalls to it. First, it does cost money to work your way to the top. If you do not have the money to get into at least the top two or three listings, it is pointless because of the percentage drop of people clicking after those top listings.

It can also hurt your website that it is not a natural listing. Natural links are generally preferable because it gives your website credibility instead of showing you have money. But as mentioned above, you cannot always rely on natural links within a highly competitive industry on the internet.

All in all, link bidding directories should be highly considered as a link building method. There are several advantages to bid directories including you having the power over whether or not your website is the top listing. Although it does cost money to get up there, it may mean the difference of thousands of visitors.

One Way Link Building

In this article we are going to explore link building and creating both proper one way link building and link exchange campaigns. While the content of your website is one the most important factors in search engine placement and ranking, it is also extremely important that you obtain high quality relevant inbound links over time if you want to retain those high rankings. Getting a new website indexed is not really an issue anymore, but appearing for your keywords in search engine results is a completely different story. Link building campaigns, which are also a part of the indexing process, have to be done in a very specific manor or your website could suffer a penalty and drop out of search results entirely and be placed in what is commonly being classified as the sandbox. Although this sandbox effect has not been completely confirmed by any major search engine, most new websites seem to have a very difficult time appearing in top ten search engine rankings for there chosen keywords in the first 6 months of creation, unless very strict guidelines are adhered to.

There are basically two different types of links, one way links and reciprocal links. There are other more complex link building techniques but the first two are the major types that anyone with a website can get without treading too closely to the out skirts of the sandbox.

Reciprocal linking is basically a link exchange between two websites. Website one places a link to website two, and vice versa, and can consist of a text link or image ad between each website. However in recent months these types of links are being considered less valuable than a one way link by search engines. You might be asking yourself, "Why bother then?", and of course that is a great question that deserves an answer. In the past a reciprocal link was simply counted as a link by search engines no matter what, so what began to happen over time was that totally unrelated websites exchanged links to manipulate search engine results. For example, a website about exotic cars was exchanging links with a website about house painting just to gain a link.

Search engines have evolved to the point that they now realize that a person searching for exotic cars probably doesn't care about house painting, so this type of link exchange is heavily discounted. Search engines want to provide the best possible results in the top ten to there users, and as such a website with a few good relevant inbound links will now out perform a website with many irrelevant links. What this boils down to is a reciprocal link can still serve a purpose towards not only getting qualified traffic to your website but also search engine consideration if the two websites that link together are related in some way. An example of this would be if the exotic car website exchanged links with say an exotic truck website, or the house painting website exchanged with a home renovator website.

Not only will web surfers of both websites probably click on the link exchange, it will be a more qualified lead as they are both in the same type of niche category and search engines will recognize this. The easiest way to obtain this type of link is to visit the Open Directory Project located at http://www.dmoz.org, and type in some keywords related to your own website. The Open Directory Project is considered an authority to search engines so when the results are returned take note of all the categories, sub-categories, as well as websites it considers related to your search term. Then type in these new search terms into any search engine, draft a short and simple e-mail to the Webmaster of each website and request a link exchange. You will not always get a response back, but as stated earlier even a small amount of related reciprocal links are worth the effort for search engine rankings and valuable qualified leads.

One way links are external links from another website that point directly to any web page on your website and without any reciprocal link back. These types of links are more valuable on the whole than reciprocal links, and a quality one way link from a related website is considered a huge vote of confidence towards your website content to search engines. As such your search engine ranking placement will drastically improve as search engines start to consider your website an authority. Sources of one way links are forum signatures, commenting on blogs, web directory listings, and social book marking websites, just to name a few. As stated earlier though, these links have to be obtained in a very specific manner so as to look natural to search engines and obtaining too many one way links to your website all at once will most probably result in a search engine ranking penalty and hurt your link profile.

Now that we have discussed the different type of links and how and where to get them, it is time to build your link building campaigns. In obtaining both types of links you have to choose very carefully how and where your link will appear. As a rule of thumb you should only pay for links on quality websites, and avoid link farms, but if you are unsure which is which, avoid it altogether until you have a little more link building experience, as certain paid links are heavily discounted and can also get you a search engine penalty, and off to the sandbox your website will go. Link farms are basically websites or web pages that contain more than 50 external links on a web page and have little to no actual content on them.

This rule does not include web directories however, as most are legitimate seo-friendly web links contained within neatly organized categories that include a description for each web link, which actually makes up the content required by search engines to be considered legitimate. As there are many web directories that currently accept free one way links, we will now cover exactly how and what to do when submitting your link to them, as well as where to get the best free directory list below.

First you have to obtain the free directory list at info.vilesilencer.com. At the time of this posting they had a list of over 400 verified non-link farm non-reciprocal seo friendly web directories varying in page rank that are downloadable on an excel spreadsheet. Now open up Notepad or WordPad and fill in the details of your website as written below and then save the file.

Title (Anchor Text) - This should be based on your primary, secondary and third set of keywords. It is recommended that you use at least 3 titles and submit to the directories using 60% your primary keywords, 30% your secondary keywords and 10% your third set of keywords. Submitting in this manor should prevent search engines from considering these one way links as link spam and applying a filter. Try not to use unnecessary capitals because directory owners do not like them.

Description (Web Content) - This should be written in the third person with a call to action using your keywords, but not a keyword stuffed sales pitch. It is recommended that you have a least 3 descriptions consisting of 250 to 300 characters and tailored to your above selected titles. Submitting a well written description will not only improve your chances of being accepted to the directory, but will also assist the directory owner by providing him or her with the required web page content.

Keywords - Some web directories accept Meta keyword information so you should make a list that includes 3 to 7 of your most important keywords or keyword phrases.

Visit each of the web directory links provided on the excel spreadsheet and when submitting pick the category that best fits the description of your website and copy and paste the information in the file you saved earlier. It will speed up the submission process and eliminate things like spelling mistakes that are sure to be rejected by the directory owner. As stated earlier your link building campaigns should be done over a period of time as directory submissions are a part of a long term strategy, and getting too many one way links at a time looks like spam to most search engines.

It is highly recommended that you only submit to 5 to 10 directories a day as some have almost immediate acceptance, but most higher page rank directories take longer to get listed because of a back log of submissions. Once you get used to submitting you should find that it takes you no more than 2 minutes for each directory and your link building campaign will be finished with 6 weeks with a total time invested of approximately 15 hours.

If that seems like a little too much time invested on your part or you just want to simplify the whole link building process, we have recently partnered with G-Lock software to distribute a Free Directory Submission Tool that speeds up the process even further. Each directory submission takes less than 15 seconds each, after you set up your link building campaigns, and it follows each of the tips we covered above automatically.

It will also track and report on which directories you have submitted, how many are still pending, and how many have listed you and what anchor text was used for the listing. If you would like more information on this free directory submission tool visit One Way Links to download your free copy or to view a complete tutorial of the free directory submission tool in action, and don't forget to submit your website while you are there, it's a free one way link!

Basics Of List Building - Name, Email Address, And A Relationship

I'm not going to talk a lot about building a list because you can read hundreds and hundreds of pages about building a list, and if you really think about it, it boils down to two things. Number one, it boils down to traffic. Number two, it boils down to getting their name and email address. The way that I do that is I create what's called a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a page whose only function is the opting in of subscribers; getting them to give you their name and email address, that's it.

Most of my squeeze pages, 99% of them, there's no other link. You can't get anything else without giving me your name and email address. That's how I force the people that really want information from me to give me their name and email address. It's really a no risk situation because the system that I use, if they don't want to be on the list anymore they just unsubscribe at the bottom and it's over. If they want to send me an email they can get off, so it's really a no risk proposition for them. Don't make it any more difficult than this; send traffic to a squeeze page. Send traffic to a squeeze page. There's no magic, there's no voodoo, there's nothing special about it. Just build a squeeze page, send traffic to it and then you'll have your list. The one other thing that you need is an auto-responder. You've got to have somewhere to build the list into. That certainly has nothing to do with the marketing end of it but you do need an auto-responder.

The third thing that you need to do is you have to build a relationship with the list. You guys are on a number of lists; some people send you emails every single day or once a week asking you to buy something from them. Other people build a relationship with you, and if you're getting 100 emails a day from a number of different sources-and I realize some of you get two emails a day and some of you, like me, get 1000 emails a day. Let's just say you're somewhere in the middle and you get 100 emails a day. My guess is you only answer or open three or four of them, and probably what happens is the three of four that you open are from people whom you trust.

SEO Tips - 3 Steps to SEO Made Easy (Part 2)

"SEO Made Easy". Welcome back to the 2nd part of SEO Tips - 3 Steps to SEO Made Easy. Our first 2 steps to improve your SEO rankings for our blog posts or web pages are:

Step #1 - Choose Your Keyword

Step #2 - On-Page Optimization

Let's look at the final important step in SEO Made Easy:

Step #3 - Off-Page Optimization

One of the factors that affect our site's ranking in search engines is having backlinks or inbound links (IBLs) linking back to our sites. This is a highly sought after factor for high SEO ranking, so much so that some people are willing to pay money to get a high ranking. So, how can this be achieved?

  1. Placed LinksThese are links that YOU can place intentionally by yourself. This is the easiest and most used method that I employ these days to increase my number of backlinks to my blog or websites so as to improve your SEO rankings. You can do this by several ways:

    i. Submitting to Article Directories - When submitting articles to directories, submit to directories that have at least a page rank of 3, like www.ezinearticles.com. This is a great article directory and when your quality articles are copied to blogs or other article directories, you link could get "viral" very fast and you could gain up to 50 backlinks with just one article.

ii. Posting in Forums & Comments- When you write a post in forums, for your signature, just post your blog or website link and anchor the text. This will create not only a free back link but when people read your forum post and they like what you post, it will attract them to click the link and you "drive" traffic to your blog. There are many forums out there. Register and try out: www.warriorforum.com.
Another method is to post comments in blogs and include your signature and a backlink back to your website or blog.

iii. Submitting to Social Bookmark Sites - Users can save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share on the social bookmarking sites which are usually public for people to see and view. We can post our blog post to social bookmark sites like www.digg.com, del.icio.us, www.reddit.com. Of course you can post to many other social bookmark sites. An easy free online tool to do this is at www.OnlyWire.com which you can use to submit to 18 popular social bookmark sites with the click of a button.
  2. Link RequestsYou can find sites that are related to yours and send them an email asking them to link to your site. It does work sometimes, so if you're up to the task, go for it. If you're going to do this, remember to be sincere. This could also be done asking the blogger or website owner to review your site or blog. If the website is high in page rank in Google, this will definitely boost your SEO ranking in search engines like Google.
  3. Paid LinksYou could buy a review from paid review sites like www.reviewme.com. A tip on paid links is to search for sites that rank in the top 10 of your keywords. Find a page that ranks well, but that is not in competition with your site, and send an email to the webmaster, offering cash to add a link to your site from the web page. You can offer $20, $50, $100, or whatever you think is fair.

There you have it. These are not an exhaustive list of SEO techniques for your blog or website but are sufficient for you to get really good results! These are the 3 most used Steps to SEO Success that I always use and are effective to improve your ranking in Google for your keyword search. Try it out and if you have any comments... do post your comments to me below.

Thanks for reading and good luck in your SEO tinkering!! Ciao.

The More 'Hits', the Better?

Conventional wisdom has it that the more hits on your web site, the better. For those who have a web site for their business, you probably strive for more hits. So, let's analyse this.

Firstly, a 'hit' does not necessarily equate with a web page viewed. A web page consists of the basic page (the HTML), plus each graphic image included in the page: each is a separate file. A 'hit' refers to each file served, so a page with five images equals six hits. Thus the relevant statistic from your server report from a marketing perspective is page views.

The second issue is: who is viewing your pages. This is the critical issue. As a comparison, think of the distribution of a paper brochure or catalogue. Would you be satisfied if a brochure on air compressors was distributed to mainly school children or pensioners ? Of course not, these brochures would have been wasted - these people are hardly the target market for air compressors!

So, how do you attempt to draw your target market to your web site. There are a number of actions you can take - here I will deal with two of the essential ones - they relate to Directories and Search Engines. These, of course, are in addition to including your web site address (URL) on all your printed material: letterheads, business cards, brochures, advertisements, etc. plus other Internet related actions.

As you read the next few paragraphs, put yourself in the place of someone searching on the Internet for a product/service like yours. Think of how you respond to search results and directory listings when you are looking for information on the Internet. You make your decision on whether to look at a site based on these Search Engine and Directory entries - and others will be making the same decision on whether to look at your site.

Search Engines.
Search Engines make use of some header information in web pages that is not visible to those viewing the page (and in some instances, part of the page text). This header information is known as META tags by web site developers and there are two main META tags that concern you. They are the Description and Keyword META tags. As well the Title tag is important.

The Title tag becomes the wording for the link to your site on a Search Engine's Search Results page. Hence, it's like a headline and needs to be compelling.

The Description META tag allows you to define the text that will appear under this link. It needs to be succinct description and should be limited to about 20 words.

The Keyword META tag allows you to nominate keywords such that your page will be included in the Search Results when a search is done on that keyword. Keywords can be single words or phrases and their are some tricks-of-the-trade in their optimal use.

All of this needs to be done for every page on your site.

Directories.
Directories are different to Search Engines - their information is organised in categories and sub-categories. As a web site owner, it is up to you to submit your site to a Directory. In most instances, you need to locate the most appropriate sub-category yourself and once in that sub-category use the Submit link and add your details.

Some Tips on Submission for both Search Engines and Directories.

Don't bother with so-called Submission software, I've heard of very mediocre results from these packages. Manually submit to each Search Engine and Directory yourself.

Concentrate on the main well known Search Engines and Directories. There are nearly 1000 out there and most are would-bees-if-they-could-bees. There's probably only a half-dozen or so (now, after the Internet shakeout) that are really worth the trouble. However, in some industries (eg music) niche Directories are also important.

Create a text file of your descriptions, keywords, URL's, etc. Never write a description on 'the fly'. When submitting, do so by copy/paste rather that actual typing to avoid tipos. ;-) Your URL with a typo in Yahoo would be a calamity (just try getting an entry in a Directory changed).

Following these approaches will generate a greater percentage of 'hits' (to use the wrong, but popular, word) from your target market.
